ANDHRA PRADESH:

Charminar:

The Charminar, built in 1591, is a monument and mosque located in Hyderabad, Andhra , India. The landmark has become a global icon of Hyderabad, listed among the most recognized structures of India.The Charminar lies near the bank of the river Musi.It is close to Laad Bazaar and Makkah Masjid.Charminar is taken from two words Char and Minar which translate as Four Towers in English.Charminar was the first structure to be constructed in the newly built city of Hyderabad.Masud Hussain Khan" an scholar of history mentions in one of his Urdu book; the construction of Charminar was completed in the year 1592, and it is the Hyderabad city which was actually founded in the year 1591.According to the book "Days of the Beloved"; Qutb shah constructed the charminar in the year 1589, on the very spot where he first glimpsed his future queen Bhagmati, and after her conversion to Islam, Qutb Shah renamed the city as "Hyderabad". Though the story was denied by the historians and scholars, but it became a popular folklore among the locals 

Araku valley:



Araku Valley is a Hill station near by Visakhapatnam district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. It is a valley in the Eastern Ghats inhabited by different tribes.Araku is located 114 km from vishakapatnam close to the odisha state border. The Anantagiri and Sunkarimetta Reserved Forest which are part of Araku Valley, are rich in biodiversity. This valley is surrounded by mountains like Galikonda, Raktakonda, Sunkarimetta and Chitamogondi. Galikonda hill rising to a height of 5,000 feet (1,500 m) is one of the highest in Andhra Pradesh. The average rainfall is 1700 mm.Araku is popular for its famous coffee plantations. India’s first tribal growers’ organic coffee brand was launched in the Araku Valley in 2007. The premium organic "Araku Emerald" brand of coffee sells globally. Thousands of tribals in the Agency area are engaged in coffee cultivation as farm hands or small farmers.

Tirupati:

Tirupati is a major pilgrimage and cultural city in the Chittor district of Andhra Pradesh. It is the largest city in the Rayalaseema region and also the 4th largest growing city of the Indian state Andhra Pradesh next to Hyderabad, Vizag and Vijayawada. It is located at the fothills of the Eastren Ghats, 65 kilometres from Chittor, 150 kilometres from Chennai, 250 kilometres from Bangalore and 550 kilometres  from Hyderabad. It is one of the richest pilgrimage cities of any religious faith in the world.

Tirupati is famous for Venkateswara Swami temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswra, located about 20 kilometres north west of Tirupati in the Tirumala hills at an elevation of 853 metres. One of the most important pilgrimage centers in the world, the temple draws millions of pilgrims and is the busiest pilgrimage center in the world.Tirupati has several temples and is a major economical and educational hub in the southern region of the state.

Vizag:

Vizag also known as Vizag is a port city on the southeast coast of India in the state of Andhra Pradesh and often called "The Jewel of the East Coast" and the "City of Destiny". Visakhapatnam has been recognized as a Global City of the Future by McKinsey Quarterly. Visakhapatnam is located 625 kilometres east of the state capital, Hyderabad and 781 kilometres North east of Chennai.It is situated in the middle of Chennai-Coromandal Coast.The city is home to several state-owned heavy industries and a steel plant,one of India's largest seaports and has the country's oldest shipyard. Visakhapatnam has the only natural harbour on the east coast of India. It is nestled among the hills of the Eastren Ghat and faces the Bay Of Bengal on the east.

Kerala:

Munnar Hills:

Munnar is Known as Kashmir of South India & its situated in Kerala. Munnar is located at an altitude of 1600 feet above sea level. It is one of the attractions that contributed to Kerala’s popularity as a travel destination among domestic and foreign travelers  Snuggled in the lap of such an alluring terrain, Munnar is one of the most beautiful hill stations in Kerala.

Aggressive marketing campaigns launched by the Kerala Tourism Development Corporationthe government agency that oversees tourism prospects of the state laid the foundation for the growth of the tourism industry. In the decades that followed, Kerala Tourism was able to transform itself into one of the niche holiday destinations in India. The tag line Kerala-Gods Own Country was adopted in its tourism promotions and became a global superbrand. Kerala is regarded as one of the destinations with the highest brand recall. In 2010, Kerala attracted 0.66 million foreign tourist arrivals.
The state's tourism agenda promotes ecologically sustained tourism, which focuses on the local culture, wilderness adventures, volunteering and personal growth of the local population. Efforts are taken to minimise the adverse effects of traditional tourism on the natural environment, and enhance the cultural integrity of local people.

GOA:

Goa beaches:

The state of Goa, India, is famous for its beaches and places of worship, and tourism is its primary industry. Tourism is generally focused on the coastal areas of Goa, with decreased tourist activity inland. Foreign tourists, mostly from Europe, arrive in Goa in winter whilst the summer and monsoon seasons see a large number of Indian tourists. Goa handled 7% of all foreign tourist arrivals in the country in 2011.Goa's beaches cover about 125 kilometres (78 mi) of its coastline. These beaches are divided into North and South Goa. North Goa is more commercial and touristy with an abundance of mostly low and medium budget tourist accommodations; whereas South Goa is where most higher–end hotels and private beaches are located. A notable exception in South Goa is Palolem Beach which features basic accommodation and is one of the most visited beaches in Goa. The further north or south you go, the more isolated the beaches get. Some of the more popular beaches are Colva, Calangute, Baga and Anjuna. These beaches are lined with shacks that provide fresh sea food and drinks. Some shacks arrange special events to attract more customers.
       
Old Goa:

Once the magnificent Portuguese capital of Goa India, these days all that remains of Old Goa is a handful of imposing churches and cathedrals. They are amongst the largest in Asia though. Some of the buildings have now become archeological museums, and provide a fascinating display of Goa's history.One of the most interesting buildings in Old Goa is the Convent and Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, built in 1521. Just opposite is the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which contains the preserved remains of the body of Saint Frances Xavier, a revered missionary and the patron saint of Goa. The body is shown to the public every 10 years, with the next exhibition due in 2014. Old Goa is situated not far from Panaji, Goa's current capital.



Tamil nadu:

Tamil nadu is a state in the south-eastern part of the Indian Peninsula. One of the four Dravidian states of India, it has had more than 4,000 years of continuous cultural history. Tamil Nadu has some of the most remarkable temple architecture in the country, and a living tradition of music, dance, folk arts and fine arts. Tamil Nadu is well renowned for its temple towns and heritage sites, hill stations, waterfalls, national parks, local cuisine and the fabulous wildlife and scenic beauty. The state boasts the second largest tourism industry in India with an annual growth rate of 16%. In 2012, Tamil Nadu occupied the second slot in the country in terms of domestic as well as foreign arrivals
.
Tamil Nadu with a GDP of $98 million is the fourth largest economy of the country and Tourism is one of the main sources of its revenue Tourism in the state is promoted by the Tamil nadu Tourism Developement Corporation headquartered in the capital city of Chennai. Tamil Nadu is a year-round tourist destination, and the industry is the largest in the country only second to the neighbouring state of Andhra pradesh. Approximately 2,804,687 foreign and 111,637,104 domestic tourists visited the state in 2010.

Dharma puri:
 It is situated on the border of Karnataka, 46kms from Dharmapuri. One of the major rivers of India and a perennial river of south India the Cauveri flows through and make the soil fertile. The river plays major role in making the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu prosper as it passes through. Kudagu in Karnataka is where the Cauveri originates as a small stream and gathers momentum and gets bigger on her way down. It is in Hogenakkal that the Cauveri enters Tamil Nadu as a big river with gushing waters presents a waterfall.
